A subset of 18 Pro units have edge glass that isn't perfectly flat, and on those every brand lifts about 1 mm within minutes — if two different protectors peel from the same corner, the panel is the cause and Apple Stores have swapped affected phones. On a flat panel, a Case-Friendly cut that stops short of the rim plus a fully bonded, air-venting adhesive keeps the glass down. Cases use N52 high-temperature-resistant magnets in a Halbach array, with pull force from about 13–15 N on VegSkin and Spin up to 18 N on Q3 Air and Rugged — enough for car mounts, magnetic power banks and wallets. Wireless charging passes straight through.

If your case lip keeps the lenses off the table, you're covered against flat surfaces — but not against keys, sand and bag grit reaching the sapphire covers, and those scratches are what a lens protector actually prevents. It doesn't touch the variable-aperture mechanism, which sits inside the module.
