What's rumored to change — and why it mostly doesn't matter for the front
The one design change with real momentum in the rumor mill is Gemini Glow: an array of LEDs around the rear camera bar. Camera bar, rear glass, LED diffusers — all back-of-phone territory. Your screen protector never meets any of it.

Why "almost fits" can still fail
Screen protector compatibility isn't a yes/no on screen size. Same-inch displays can differ in ways spec sheets never show:
Punch-hole position and diameter. A camera cutout offset by half a millimeter means your protector's hole clips the camera's field of view — hello, hazy corner in selfies. This is the #1 failure mode for cross-generation reuse.
Corner radius and edge geometry. Protectors are cut to hug a specific corner curve. A slightly different radius leaves either an overhang that lifts, or a visible gap that collects lint.
Bezel tolerance. Case-friendly protectors deliberately stop short of the glass edge. If the Pixel 11's bezels shift even slightly, a Pixel 10 cut can sit close enough to the edge that cases press on it — the classic cause of protectors popping loose a week in.
Sensor window bonding. The ultrasonic fingerprint zone needs flawless full-adhesive contact. A protector cut for another device can sit 99% flush and still trap a micro-channel of air right where it hurts.
None of these show up in a "6.3-inch vs 6.3-inch" comparison. All of them show up in week two of daily use.

- Edge run. Run a fingernail around all four edges. Any click or lift means the corner radius is off — it will peel within weeks.
- Fingerprint re-registration. Delete and re-register prints through the glass (full setup routine here). If unlock stays flaky after re-registering, air is trapped over the sensor zone.
Pass all three and your old protector has genuinely carried over. Fail any one and you're trading daily annoyance for the price of a coffee.
