Yes. The Pixel 9, 10 and 11 use an ultrasonic sensor, which reads reliably through thin, fully adhesive glass — HD Shield Ultra is 0.33 mm with a low-haze optical adhesive and no air gap. Two steps matter: delete and re-register your fingerprints after installing (the sensor calibrates to the acoustic path, so prints enrolled on bare glass misread), and turn on Increase touch sensitivity under Settings → Display, Google's screen-protector mode.
Each protector is cut 1:1 for one model, not a universal size: Pixel 9 / 9 Pro (6.3"), 9 Pro XL (6.8"), Pixel 10 / 10 Pro (6.3"), 10 Pro XL (6.8"), and Pixel 11 / 11 Pro (6.3"), 11 Pro XL (6.8"). Pick your model and the grid narrows to the glass made for it — the camera punch-hole and fingerprint zone line up only on the right cut. Pixels ship with no factory protector, so this is the first layer.
Most Pixel 10 Pro cases squeeze onto the 11 Pro, but a protector is a different story: punch-hole, edge and sensor alignment are millimetre work, so don't assume a 10 cut sits right on an 11. HD Shield Ultra is cut separately for the Pixel 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL and is in stock now.
Not yet — the Pixel line is HD Shield Ultra: true-colour clear glass with a 3X shockproof core. That's deliberate for now: tinted, matte and privacy layers all cost brightness, and privacy louvres are the highest-risk layer for an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Clear glass is the safe pairing for Pixel's unlock.

The alignment frame does the aiming: seat the frame, drop the glass, press once. Micro-bubbles from the silicone adhesive settle on their own within hours, and every box is a 2-pack with a spare, dust sticker and cloth.
Plenty of owners try it; the Pixel's glass back earns its 'bar of soap' reputation, and day-one scratches on the display show up on the forums every launch. A protector is the cheap, replaceable layer: 9H+ glass takes the scratches, often cracks instead of your screen in a fall, and keeps trade-in condition. If you go bare, at least use a case with a raised lip.
Film is thinner, but it scratches, dents and clouds within months. 0.33 mm tempered glass reads through the ultrasonic sensor just as reliably once you re-register your prints, feels like bare glass under your finger, and actually stops scratches and takes drop impact.
